Data You Give Us Directly
Search Queries
A name or case number entered in a search tool is sent directly to the outside company operating that tool. The provider processes the request and supplies its results. Stanton County Court Docket does not keep or record those search terms.
Messages and Contact Submissions
An email message may be retained so a response can be provided. It remains within the site team unless disclosure is required by law.
Data We Gather Automatically
When a page loads, the servers automatically receive certain technical details about the visit:
- Page-view times and dates
- Referring website, when one is provided
- Visited pages and time spent on them
- Device type and operating system
- Browser name and version
- The device's IP address
Cookies and Analytics
Cookies are small files saved on a device. They and analytics services help combine traffic data, such as which pages receive visits and where sessions end. Browser controls can block cookies, although doing so may change how some site features work.
What We Do With This Data
- Diagnosing and repairing technical problems
- Delivering advertising that may reflect visitor interests
- Routing search requests to the selected partner
- Maintaining site availability, speed, and operation
- Assessing which pages are useful or need improvement
No Court-Record Data on File
Stanton County Court Docket does not host, compile, maintain, or sell a database of dockets or personal case information. It publishes general directions to Kansas CaseSearch, Stanton County District Court, and the Clerk of District Court. The site is not a consumer reporting agency under the Fair Credit Reporting Act, and visitor data is not assembled into consumer reports or third-party profiles.
Third-Party Search Partners
Outside companies operate the search boxes. Information submitted there is governed by that company's privacy policy rather than this policy. Each partner controls its own retention and disclosure practices, so review those terms before running a search.
Links to Other Websites
Links may lead to the Clerk of District Court, Kansas courts, legal-aid resources, or commercial search services. Once a visitor follows an external link, the destination's privacy policy applies. Review it before providing personal information.
Some advertising companies may use activity across websites to select ads. That tracking occurs on their systems.
Who Might See Your Data
Personal information is not sold. It may be disclosed to:
- Search partners that handle queries you run on our site
- Analytics services we use to track traffic and performance
- Ad networks that place ads on our pages
- Law enforcement or government bodies when a valid legal order requires it
How We Protect Your Data
Reasonable, commonly used safeguards protect collected data. No internet system is completely secure, however, and the site cannot guarantee that a breach will never occur.
Users Under 18
The site is intended for adults and does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone younger than 18. Notice that a minor supplied data will be addressed by deleting that information.
Your Data Rights
Applicable Kansas privacy and consumer-protection law may provide additional rights. The Kansas Open Records Act, K.S.A. 45-215 through 45-223, governs requests to public bodies, while Kansas Supreme Court Rule 22 governs public electronic access to District Court and Kansas Court of Appeals records. Those public-record rules do not convert this private site into a government records custodian. Subject to applicable law, you may:
- Ask for a copy of what we have on file about you
- Have us fix information that is wrong
- Request that we erase your data
- Opt out of certain kinds of data processing
Updates to This Policy
This policy may be revised. A new version becomes available on this page with an updated effective date.
